Dark Souls Prepare To Die Edition Mods
Dark-Souls-Mod-Installer (DSMI) is a compilation of mods for Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition, and some multilingual programs to install and manage them. The aim is to provide a lore-friendly starter pack for people who don't want to spend time installing and configuring files to play decently.
The mod is now available for Dark Souls Remastered, after initially being completed for the Prepare to Die edition earlier this year.
It is advised to use the last, fully-patched Steam version of the game so that all the mods work as intended.

Programmer guide
This project actually contains 3 distinct sub-projects :
- DSMI ConfigTool
- DSMI MainLauncher
- Resources
The 2 DSMI ones generate .exe files. 'Resources' is designed to hold the common resources and therefore it generates a .dll file. Everything is written in C#/WPF. Check the .xaml files (design) and xaml.cs (code-behind) in each sub-project to get the interesting parts.
Dark Souls - Prepare to die again Remastered is a mod for Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition, created by Lionblade Studio.
Description (in author’s own words)
This mod aims to provide the feeling of a fresh Dark Souls-Experience as much as possible by changing and altering enemies, positions of bonfires and items. It also changes item drops, adds new NPC-enemies, changes boss fights and slightly changes the shops of merchants!
Introduction
I always loved the feeling of my first Dark Souls run. Everything felt fresh and new and I did not know where deadly enemies lured around. But with every run the game felt less 'exciting'. Dont get me wrong, Dark Souls is still one of the best games ever made. But the feeling was different. I knew all the enemy positions and also NG+ did change nothing aswell (congratulation to DS2 for actually changing things in NG+ cycles..). I just wished it would be possible to erase my memory and experience the game like it was my first time..but sadly this is not possible yet.
But then I found out about Wulf2K´s awesome MSB-Edit-Tool and ParamVessel by Meowmaritus ! The idea to create a complete overhaul for Dark Souls was born..
Ramayanam serial in tamil all episodes free download. What this mod does
I spent a lot of hours walking through the various areas of the game again and taking notes about what I would like to change, what parts I thought were not so good in the vanilla game (my opinion only..who am I to judge :-D) and what things I wanted to add for more atmosphere.
This mod changes a lot in the game! Originally it only changed enemy placement for the whole game. Later on the positions of almost every bonfire were changed, too.
Since version 1.9 there are new corpse and chest - positions. They also drop changed loot.
In a lot of the areas you can now find new NPC-enemies that did not exist in vanilla. You can also obtain the two cut content armor sets!
Version 3.0 also changed a lot of the boss encounters. So expect new mechanics to some fights or just a different experience.
I tried to be as lore friendly as possible! So this mod does not add enemys to zones where it would not make sense lorewise. For example: No Darkwraiths in Anor Londo or Stone Knights in Undead Parish!
I even tried to extend the lore as much as I could by adding or changing some NPCs in zones where I thought it would make sense.
SPOILER: For example: You can now fight Iron Tarkus who made his way up to Anor Londo.
Does it affect Multiplayer?
Using this mod online could lead to some funny situations where the one without the mod can not see your enemy-placements. It can also happen that a boss dies randomly or an NPC dies. So if you want to make sure that nothing goes wrong, I would reccomend you that you play this mod offline. You can, however, coop with a friend if both of you have the mod installed.
Remastered: You have to play offline or you will probably get banned sooner or later.
Can I use this mod with item randomizer?
It seems that it is not possible to use my mod and the randomizer.
Is this mod for you?
I tried to balance the mod so that it is possible that somebody who has never played Dark Souls can also play this mod. Some areas may be harder - some will be easier in comparison to vanilla game. So this is not only for veterans. But of course they are the main target!
So if you have finished Dark Souls many times and you are looking for a new and 'enjoyable' (this is still Dark Souls ;-) ) experience then this mod is for you!
Why are there no images?
I hope you understand that after all that work I dont want to spoil the experience for you. There are changes everywhere and showing you images would take away the element of surprise. And if you are like me who bought Dark Souls without knowing ANYTHING about it, you dont want to be spoilered at all ;-)
